Landscape
The natural environment has always given me a strong sense of peace, comfort and awe. I am protected by nature and nature needs my protection, we are in this together.
I create images on the border of abstraction and figuration, of what is felt and what is seen.
The textured surfaces of my work are made by creating a collage of embossed paper and layering of acrylic paint. Patterns and structures observed in nature, and also discovered in the process of painting continue to intrigue me.
The landscape is closely linked to my sense of identity and belonging.
